Worksheet Responses
During my glazing lesson I asked students to fill out a worksheet with two
questions on it. #1. What is the most important part about your artwork?
#2.How can you represent your ideas visually?
On the back of the worksheet I asked students to write an interesting fact about themselves.
Many of their responses were thought provoking and deserve being documented. Some responses are
not quite so thought provoking, but they are all worth reading.
I- 1. Possessing the ability to express my emotions in an aestetically pleasing way.
2. With Love!
I like cooking and am totally bombastic.
A- 1. Detail is paramount to all else
2. By making detail become the basics
I program.
D- 1. That it expresses my free spirit and my love for art. I also love
things that are abstract and that move like nature.
2. I made designs that wind and move together without touching. My
designs look sort of like vines and drops of water. Nothing is symmetrical and
moves freely. That's how it expresses me.
I am my own worst critic so I almost never show others my work
except for in school when I have to.
H- 1. The most important part of my artwork is what it represents to
me.
2. I would use symbols that are important and define me.
Antelopes. Everywhere.
D- 1. I tried to add a baseball theme in all of them.
2. Different shapes, sizes, and colors. Dank!
I play baseball.
M- 1. The most important part of my art work is creating a peice that has a true deep meaning. Although making it so I am the only one that understands it. Through every peice I do use my past personal experiences, which most make the peice depressing.
2. By using bastract things which in a way represent a part of
me.
I have been a vegitarian for three years.
K- 1. That it represents me, an isn't like anyone elses. It's only my work,
my creativity.
2. Put it on my art work.
I sing and dance and l love volleyball. I like taking pictures, and
of course I'm a diva.
D- 1. It being about me...
2. just work on it then when finished people will see
I love to read quotes or see pictures with quotes.
H- 1. quality
2. I will use the dipping technique.
I play football.
S- 1. That it is one of a kind.
2. Drawing and building.
I am the first person in my family to earn Eagle Scout.
C- 1. That I actually tried to make my art.
2.by expressing them through art.
I love math.
P- 1. I am going to tape and dip my peice. It's fast and easy, I have a
good idea.
2. That it will look good. I also like getting ideas from others.
K- 1. I want some blues and purples (cool colors) because I think they look
more classy and not messy. I'm going to do dipping.
2. I want to do dipping because it doesn't look too neat and tidy,
but it still looks good. Sponging too, because I like the look.
I love to draw eyeballs w/ make up, I think they are cool. Make up is
AWESOME.
J- 1. I want it to be purple because that's my favorite color.
2. I'm going to use the dripping and sponge technique because I liked
the way it looked in the pictures.
I have a twin sister.
K- 1. That it looks good and can be utilitarian.
2. by adding them to artwork or by painting them on
I love to travel! I have been to Mexico, Costa Rica, Germany, and
Aruba.
R- 1. the sweetness of my peice, how awesome it is
2. by making precise shapes and being very delicate
I love to play soccer.
L- 1.that it is personal and means something to me
2. through emotions expressed on my art
Horses are what I'm good at. They are my past, present, and future.
Everything I do now in my life is so I can be something with horses in 20 years.
They are my life. Everyone has a purpose to live and horses are my purpose.

I am one of eleven children.
K- 1. I want my artwork to be meaningful and useful to me.
2. I want to represent my ideas by making my projects colorful and
visually appealing so that the work that I did when building the projects will
not be ruined.

V- 1. expression and detail
2. Example: Trees; tall, strong, green, helpful, maybe you're feeling
strong and wanting to make a stand.
I like trees and flowers.
M- 1.I made it and it is a representation of me and who I am and it is a
reflection of my life.
2. By expressing how I feel and what things are factoring into my
life by using that in the way I create my art.
I play guitar as well as bass guitar. I also recently got a mandolin
to play around with.
P- 1. That it describes me through an envisioned peice of work.
2. through art
I love riding horses.
C- 1. being able to express myself through art work
2. I really liked the nameplate project we did because I was able to
represent myself and my interests through a different art medium. I'm usually a
photo enthusiest.
I know how to solve a Rubiks Cube.
N- 1. all of it

I have eight siblings.
A- 1. That it looks decent.
2. smooth it out- no bumps or cracks
T- 1. The most important part is the detail, I tried to put lots of detail
in all my projects.
2. I am good at thinking of something and putting it down on paper. I
do this by writing it down before I forget the whole thing or even small details
of what I'm thinking of.
I love video editing/art, anything along those lines.
A- 1. The physical form, the literal meaning.
2. This student was the only student to use this space to represent
his ideas visually by drawing his ceramic peice. I had to laugh, and it taught
me a lesson about being careful with the way I word questions.
I consider myself very musical
