A student a few steps back in the educational licensure program once asked me if I could give him any good advice for student teaching. My response was, “Learn to become confident in your drawing.” At the beginning of the semester I found that I was not confident in my own drawing and my students were quickly picking up on it. So I decided to start a project that would refine my skill. My subject matter was always close at hand. I was pleased to see growth in just a few weeks and was also pleased with the growth of my confidence within the art room.
Photography was my first real artistic passion. I love watching the image appear in the developer, for that reason I have always worked with silver-gelatin prints even in the new digital age. Below is a collection of some of my work completed during my collegiate career.
